‘Mother Earth is Our Home’ started it’s life on 4 acres of baked and cracked earth close to Ganeshpuri in Maharashtra to slowly become an oasis teaming with life, serving as a model for the local tribal people.
The land was originally forest land, given to a local tribal family in 1974. After many years of not being used due to the escalating costs of cultivation, this family has given Saha Astitva a 35 year lease on this piece of virgin organic land.
The land is positioned with the northern boundary backing onto existing forest land at the edge of a seasonal river, a watershed for run-off water from the neighbouring holy mountain Mandagni.
