Our physical health starts with the quality of the food we eat (and water we drink and air we breathe). There is growing concern over the pesticide content in food and contamination of food irrigated using polluted water. Pesticides in food are being linked to cancer. Concerns over the quality of food and an escalating economy have led to a growing organic food market among the higher classes. We will work with organic food companies to understand the crops they need most and encourage the production of these cash-crops through a ‘clean-food-co-operative’ with the tribal people.
