From Mumbai airport
Taxi: (travel time 2-3 hours). Book a comfortable taxi with us to meet you at the airport (Rs 1700) (send us your arrival time and flight no.). Please be careful – only go with the man with your name and Ganeshpuri or Saha Astitva on a sign board. Do not take a local taxi (they will charge up to double and arrival can not be guaranteed). You are liable to pay for the taxi if you do not use it and it is not canceled by 12 hours prior to your pick up time.
Public transport: (3 hours). Take a rickshaw (Rs 50-150 depending on your negotiation skills) to Andheri train station. Take a train going north (on the suburban Virar line) to Vasai Road. For further instructions see below under traveling from Mumbai by train.
Taxi: Book a taxi through us to pick you up (Rs 2200) or negotiate a deal with a local taxi – make sure you agree the price in advance. You are liable to pay for the taxi if you do not use it and it is not cancelled by 12 hours prior to your pick up time.
Public transport: Western line: take a train going north on the suburban Virar line. The line begins in Churchgate (if you are coming from Colaba) to Virar (takes approx. 1.5 hours from Churchgate). Make sure it’s a fast train. Best to avoid traveling after 4pm due to rush hour.
The sign over the platform will have a “V” and the time of departure (eg V:10:43F – means the Virar train is leaving this platform at 10:43 am and it’s a fast train). Female travelers may want to aim for the special women’s cars on the train (usually next to the first class carriage) – ask anyone to show you.
Virar is the end of the line. Now you can either take a state transport (ST) bus. The bus stand is on the West side. Buses should run at least hourly to Ganeshpuri.
A faster option would be to get down on the East side and take a rickshaw half way to Sirshad pata (junction). There are many buses (every 5-10 minutes) to Ganeshpuri. When you’re on the bus it’s much faster than the Rickshaw and there are less people on the bus than at Virar.
Ask for the bus stand at the station and take the state transport bus (orange and yellow) to Ganeshpuri. (~1 hour travel time). Get down at the Ganeshpuri bus stand (not the main ashram which is 2 km away).
Arriving by train from the north:
Aim for Dadar in Mumbai and cross over from the Central line to the Western line. If travelling on the Western line, look for the station closest to Virar.
Arriving by train from the south:
Aim for Dadar in Mumbai and cross over from the Central line to the Western line.

Arrival in Ganeshpuri – how to find us
When you arrive in Ganeshpuri turn right out of the bus station and walk straight for ~ 150m.
Ask people for Nityananda Mandir (or Nityananda temple). When you arrive at the gate to the temple, immediately on your left is a small ‘pan’ kiosk and a small gate with steps leading up. Go up the steps and straight through the bamboo gate. This is our Ganeshpuri office. You can also ask local people for Daniel’s house.
